Joyeux Anniversaire Julia Child!Today marks the 100th Birthday of Julia Child. Her story is remarkable and it is fascinating to think that she hadn’t started cooking until her early thirties and didn’t make her TV debut until she was in her fifties. She is an inspiration to me for many reasons, but mainly because her determination, drive and positivity are a constant reminder that everyone has a second chapter in their lives and there is always more to come. Simply, Julia changed the world and those of us with a love of food and life are very grateful.“It was Child — not single-handedly, but close — who started the public conversation about cooking in America that has shaped our cuisine and culture ever since.”-Julia Moskin, The New York Times
